Obituary for William James Wellman

WELLMAN, William James – passed away at the Palmerston and District Hospital on Wednesday, February 1st, 2017 with his family by his side. Bill Wellman of Palmerston and formerly of Trenton in his 87th year. Son of the late William John and Beulah (Campney) Wellman. Beloved father of the late Krisandra Lee Wellman. Dear brother of Thelma Vanner and her friend Laverne Long of Palmerston. Loved uncle of Cheryl (Kim) MacKenzie of Mount Forest, George (Elizabeth) Vanner of Cambridge, Scott Vanner of Palmerston, Richard (Heather) Vanner of Brantford and the late Marilyn Vanner. Remembered by many great-nieces and nephews. Also remembered by special friend Audrey Marsh of Trenton. Bill lived most of his life in Trenton and worked for Canada Post for thirty-five years. Posted in Goose Bay, Wabash, Happy Valley, Northwest River, and Labrador City, as well as Cobourg, Frankford, and Trenton. For the last five years Bill resided at Royal Terrace Residential in Palmerston, Ontario close to family and friends. Bill was well known for his professional looks, friendly ways and antique collections. At Bill's request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the RUSHNELL FUNERAL CENTRE, 60 Division Street, Trenton (613-392-2111). Interment White's Cemetery beside his daughter Krisandra.
