Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mabel Ackerman can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

ACKERMAN, Mabel Vivian (nee Wellman)-
Gone home to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 2nd, 2017 in her 95th year. Daughter of the late George and Cora Wellman. Predeceased by husbands Clifford Ackerman and James Leonard Hewitt (Bill). Beloved mother to Sandra Dunkley, Jane Travis (Paul), Harold Hewitt (Carol), John Hewitt (Jeanne), Judy Taylor (Carl), Anne Yorke, Dan Hewitt (Pauline), also her stepchildren Shirley (Carl) and Bob Ackerman (Daphne). Predeceased by sons-in-law Don Dunkley, Rowland Travis and Fred Yorke. Dear sister to Barry Wellman (Donna), and sister-in-law to Fred Hill and Marie Wellman. Predeceased by her brother Wayne, brother-in-law Mervin Patrick (late June) and sister Fern Hill. Loved by 17 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Special Aunt to many nieces, nephews and cousins. Following cremation, Family & Friends are invited to a get together for Mabel at River Valley Hall, Frankford Rd. on Sunday March 19th, 2017 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to STIRLING FUNERAL CHAPEL LTD. 87 James St. Stirling (613-395-2424). If desired, donations to the Stirling Manor or charity of choice are appreciated.
