THOMPSON, Cecil Wellington-
Passed away peacefully after a long illness on Tuesday, April 25th, 2017 in his 89th year at the Belleville General Hospital. Cecil, of Corbyville was born May 21, 1928 in Point Anne, he is the son of the late Marshall & Pearl Thompson. Loving husband for 67 years to Mabel (nee Gifford). He was predeceased by brothers Gilbert, Dancourt, William (Bill), Raymond (Ray) and sisters Gladys, Lita, Emma, Effie, Ethel and Marie. Also predeceased by sister-in-law Betty Walker (Ernie). He is sadly missed by his son Ron (Bonnie) (late Betty), daughters Donna Thiffault (Jacques) of Port Hope and Judy Fricke (Lothar) of Belleville. Papa will be missed by his grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; Melissa Lynch (Brent) of Port Hope and their children Hannah, Katelynn and Corbin, Josh Thompson (Sarah) of Colborne and their child Lily, Mike Thompson of Port Hope, Laura Lawson (Gregor) of Hamilton and their child Matilda, and Kim Thompson of Toronto, Stephanie, Hudson and Noah Fricke of Belleville. Cecil will also be missed by nephew Ted Walker (Brenda) of Frankford, and other nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call at BELLEVILLE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL LTD. 68 N. Front St. Belleville (613-968-5080) on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the chapel Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Followed by Interment at Elmwood Cemetery, River Rd. Corbyville. If desired, donations to the charity of your choice are appreciated.
