It is with heavy hearts, that we say farewell to our devoted, loving mother, grandmother, Nana, GG and friend. On Saturday, May 13th, 2017 in her 92nd year, Pearl passed away peacefully, at Hastings Manor, Belleville. She was the cherished, only child of Albert MacDonald and Olive Ross of Tyendinaga, ON. Beloved wife of 58 years of the late Donald White, loving mother and friend of Joyce Waterhouse (late Ray) of Belleville, and Lloyd White of Kanata. Pearl will be missed by her grandchildren; Lee Waterhouse of Belleville, Scott Waterhouse (Candice) of Oakville, Michael (Karla) White of Colchester, England, David White of Victoria, B.C. and Deby Knowlton of Kanata. She had the joy of 8 great-grandchildren; Charlotte, Amelia, Oliver, Josh, Nathan, Madeline, Jack and Chloe. Survived by sister-in-law Muriel White of Belleville, and her brother-in-law Max White (Roxana) of Brantford. Pearl worked at Northern Electric in Belleville, retired from Northern Telecom in Brampton with 29 years of service in 1985. She was a member of St. Matthew’s United Church and the Nortel Pioneers; she leaves behind many friends, who will remember her wonderful luncheon and dinner parties. She was a great cook and a warm hostess. A sincere thanks to all the staff at Hastings Manor LTC., for their consistent, tender loving care, during the past 6 years.
Funeral Services will be held at the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville, 613-968-5588, on Friday, May 19th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation from 12:00 noon till 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow with burial at a later date in the family plot at Belleville Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy and love for Pearl, donations to the Quinte Humane Society or St. Matthew’s United Church would be appreciated by the family.
