Obituary for Marian MacPherson (Russell)
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother; Beatrice Marian (Russell) MacPherson, on May 26, 2017 at the Northumberland Hills County Hospital, Cobourg, Ontario.
Marian was the wife of the late David William (Bill) MacPherson (Belleville ON), and daughter of Harry Jackson Russell and Barbara Dora (Holt) Russell, Doaktown NB. She is survived by her older brother; Beverly Frances Russell (Fredericton NB), daughters Barbara Leah MacPherson and Deborah Beverley MacPherson-Cornell, and son in law Dr. David Scott Cornell, as well as many very good friend s in Belleville including but not limited to the lunch ladies of the Officers Wives Club. We will miss her classy style, warm intelligent heart, engaging smile, delightful sense of humour and her extraordinary social skills. So long Mom until we meet again!
Committal and internment will occur Fri June 2, 2017; @ 13:00; St Thomas United Church, Doaktown, New Brunswick. A memorial service will be held at 13:00 on June 15, 2017; @ Eastminister United Church, 432 Bridge Street East, Belleville, Ontario. Dr. David McMaster will be presiding over the service.
In lieu of flowers the family have requested donations be made to the Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society.
