Condolence: Dear Donnalene and Family - I'm so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I was just thinking of him the other day and remembering how much I enjoyed working with him at the OMAF office. He will be greatly missed. May you find peace in precious memories.

Condolence: To the Dalrymple Family:
I was surprised and very saddened to hear of Jim's passing. Jim and I had worked most of our careers with the the provincial government. He was a tireless member of our "Swine Advisory Team" for years covering eastern Ontario. In addition to his work with the department/ministry as a provincial swine specialist, Jim represented the ministry on a number of provincial and national committees. His cohorts across Canada knew him as we did - "a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and energetic proponent of modern, efficient and humane pork production".
I understand that in his recent years Jim devoted some of his "retirement time" to local initiatives that improve the public's knowledge and appreciation of agriculture and food production. His contributions have made a difference to the agriculture sector.

Be strong and take care

Condolence: Donnalene, Kristen and the Dalrymple family,
We are so sorry to hear f Jim's passing and extend our sincere condolences. Jim fought a hard battle over an extended period of time.
Rod had the good fortune to work with Jim during his time in Bowmanville and later when he moved to Kemptville and covered the Eastern Ontario Region with OMAFRA. There was no one more passionate about the agri-food sector and the people involved then Jim. He was a strong voice for agriculture and farmers in this province and that is a proud legacy to carry.
May pleasant memories of a life well lived be with you during this time of sorrow.
Sincerely
Marlene and Rod Stork

Condolence: Kristen,
So sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. He was such a kind, friendly person to us girls when we were at your house....which was quite often in our teenage years :-) I hope you find comfort by surrounding yourself with family and friends.

Condolence: I 1st met Jim at an Animal Sc. open house at U. of G. He did a demonstration bouncing a rubber ball on the cement floor of the lab, then dipping it in liquid nitrogen, then dropping it on the floor, where it smashed into a hundred pieces. Later I worked for OMAF out of Picton and I often ran into Jim at OMAF meetings. He was always so enthusiastic about his work and friendly. I have run into Jim a few times after we both retired and he was still as full of enthusiasm as ever.
VERY sorry to hear of his passing.

Condolence: Sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I am a 56 KAS and 57 Kas graduate and knew Jim from he being our paper boy to the men's residence. In later years 1980' and 1990's we would see each other at various Agri Conferences across Canada. I would introduce him as our paper boy in Kemptville in the 1950's. He always got a kick out of that. I also had the pleasure of working with his Father (John)on the 1972 Adverse Weather Loan Program when he was working in Toronto and I was with Farm Credit Corporation at the time.
Jim was highly regarded in the agricultural community and was certainly missed upon his retirement.
My condolences to the family.
