Obituary for Linda Helen Patricia Collins

COLLINS, Linda Helen Patricia (January 6, 1948-September 23, 2014) – It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Linda, suddenly at her home in her 67th year. Daughter of the late Jay and Nellie Collins (nee Hagerman). Survived by brother Leonard Collins (Mary Lou). Predeceased by her sister Sharon Brooks (Ken), and her brother Doug (Marilyn). Linda will be greatly missed by her nieces, Lori Brooks (Steve), Kim Collins, Cindy Rhode (Pat), Kelley Collins, and by nephews David Brooks (Karen), and Robert Collins (Colleen). Loving great-aunt to Nicolas and Amanda. Linda was an avid golfer and long-time member of the Oak Hills Golf Club. She loved to bowl during the off season. She will be missed by her friends at the club and by her closest friend, Dee Doran. In keeping with Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Belleville Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 68 N. Front St. Belleville (613-968-5080). Reception at the funeral home will follow. Linda’s ashes will be scattered in the Belleville Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Quinte Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
