Trailer Buddies

We my husband and I Gord now decessed met May and Jo at Sandaraska trailer park. We came to visit and stayed in Pine Alley back in the 90"s. We were sitting relaxing one Sat and heard the clinking of horseshoes. Well my husbands ears perked up. We walked over to see where they were playing. We got invited to play but me being the great shoe player I am, got it stuck in the tree so I became a cheer leader. May and Jo played every weekend along with many others. It was a Saturday ritual and most times not very much got done after shoes. It gets very hot playing shoes and the beer started to flow so needless to say. ..I have to say May was one of the great players even beating Jo. Sorry Jo had to say that. Well to make a long story short we felt so welcome by everyone there we bought a trailer and moved in. We had a great deal of fun. Barb Grenier and myself were in charge of the social committee. It was a lot of work but we have so many memories with all the great dances, Christmas in July, Halloween, we even had family day before it became a holiday. Our pot lucks were the best. Well now Jo has gone to visit the Big Guy upstairs may he rest in peace. WAIT I think I hear the clinking of shoes!! Yes I see two pits... Jo and Gord and Russ and Berice.
