Rushnell Family Services

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Floyd Ray can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Putting hay in the barn

The year must have been around 1975.  I used to ride my bicycle out to Uncle Floyd's place from Belleville, I was too young to drive.

I would work up in the mow, stacking bales.  But they seemed to come faster and faster, with Uncle Floyd taking them from the wagon outside, and laying them on the elevator that brought them up and into the mow.

I can still picture Uncle Floyd, returning from the field with yet another full load.

To this day, I am still amazed at how fast he could load them onto that elevator.

RIP Uncle Floyd.
