Doreen M. Thompson (née Ferguson) 1920-2016.
Passed away Sept 26 at Quinte Gardens following a brief illness in her 97th year. Loving wife of the late G. Leighton Thompson (2011). Survived by her son Robert ( Kathleen) of Fergus Ontario. Forever remembered by grandchildren Christina (Tyler Cameron) of Oakville; David of Vancouver and Elizabeth of Toronto. Also survived by great grand daughter Carmen Cameron. Doreen was preceded in death by her brother Vernon Ferguson, sister Marguerite Smith and infant grandson Norman Thompson. Arrangements entrusted to BELLEVILLE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL LTD 68 N. Front St. Belleville (613-968-5080). Cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance will be held at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 68 Rollins Dr. Belleville on Friday, October 7th, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. (with visitation one hour prior). Donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Emmanuel Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family.
