deSnoo, Leendert (Len) -
Went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, March 28th, 2017 in Salmon Arm, BC just after celebrating his 86th birthday. Len was born March 19th, 1931 in the small town of Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, in the Netherlands. Son of the late Arie Hendrik deSnoo and Suzanna Van Noort. He was predeceased by his first wife Anna, and will be missed by his children, Joanne Leger (Andre) of Corbyville, Susan Berkhuizen (Fred) also of Corbyville, Art deSnoo (Diana) of Marysville, Bill deSnoo (Dineke) of Rednersville, Margaret Stevenson (Kent) of Lansdowne, Leonard deSnoo of Belleville, Tony deSnoo (Pia) of Kemptville and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Len will also be missed by his wife Helen, and his many step children and their families. Len is predeceased by his siblings; Jacoba Wilhelmina deSnoo “Co” (Arie van Dillen “Arie”), Anna Maaike deSnoo “Annie” (Frederik Turel “Fred”), Jannigje deSnoo “Jans” (Pieter Zijderveld) and Willem deSnoo “Wim” (Adriana Zijderveld “Adrie”). He will live forever in our hearts as the kind and gentle man he was. A Memorial Service will be held at the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, College St. Belleville on Friday, April 7th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. (with visitation two hours prior from 11-1 p.m.). Private Interment will take place at a later date, Victoria Cemetery, Plainfield. Arrangements entrusted to BELLEVILLE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL LTD. 68 N. FRONT ST. BELLEVILLE (613-968-5080).
