Obituary for Gerda Vandervelde (Wisselink)
VANDERVELDE, Gerda – went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 28th, 2017. Gerda Vandervelde of Trenton and formerly of Frankford at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Geert Vandervelde and the late Theo Ormel. Loved mother of Joann (Jim) Oliver of Frankford, Elisabeth (Bill) Lamble of Ottawa, Maggie (Steve) Flewelling of Bowmanville, Gary (Sandra) Ormel of Cobourg and Brian (Leslie) Ormel of Winnipeg. Ever remembered grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of one. Survived by sister Leis in Holland. Predeceased by her parents Gerrit and Grada (Grotenhuis) Wisselink; nine brothers and sisters; and granddaughter Christina (Oliver) Gutzeit. The family will receive friends at the Community Christian Reformed Church, 149 King Drive, Frankford on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Church on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Michael Bootsma officiating. Interment Stockdale Cemetery. If desired, Memorial Donations to the Frankford Youth Centre would be appreciated by the family.
