RAFFAEL, HANS JOACHIM WOLFGANG - At his residence on Wednesday, October 18th, 2017 at the age of 91. Hans Raffael of the Richmond Retirement Residence, Belleville was the son of the late Otto Raffael & Martha (nee Witt) and was the husband of the late Brigitte (nee Czerwinski). Hans was the dearest father of Wolfgang (Diane) of Amherstview, Norbert (Melody) of Lac La Biche, Alberta and Dagmar Settle (Peter) of Foxboro. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Christopher, Kendra, Briana and Sean and his great-grandchildren Sophia and Jackson. Hans was predeceased by his sister Doris Kollbach.
In keeping with Hans’ wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at the Elmwood Cemetery, Corbyville. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the Belleville Funeral Home & Chapel, 68 North Front Street, Belleville (613-968-5080).
