Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Matthew Staikos can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

STAIKOS, Matthew - On Monday, May 28, 2018 Matthew Staikos, son, brother, uncle and loved one, passed away suddenly at the age of 37 years. Matthew will be forever remembered by his parents Nick and Gale (nee Brummell), his brother and sister-in-law George and Christina (nee Grivakis), his nephews and niece, Nicholas, Julia and Andrew, his grandmother Fern Brummell and his girlfriend Evangeline Giannoulis. Beloved nephew of Aspa, Dimitra, Kathy (Larry), Chris (Jackie), Gary (Janet), Ed, Grant (Sharon), Glenda (John), Gord, Guy and cousin of Vana (Peter), Nina (Dean), Nina, Jimmy, Dena (Joe), Nitsa (Darryl), Anna (James), Nadia (Mike), Angelo, Christopher, David (Christy), Michael (Nikki), John, Darren, Tressa (Steve) and Henley as well as his extended family and dear friends in Canada and abroad. He was predeceased by his grandparents George and Dina Staikos, his grandfather Ross Brummell, his uncles Angelo Staikos, Angelo Drosopoulos, and his aunt Garlyne Brummell. Visitation will be held at the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5588) on Friday, June 1st from 2:30 – 4:30pm and 6 - 8pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, June 2nd at 11am. Reception to follow at 1pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall (57 Stella Cres, Trenton). There will also be a Celebration of Matthew’s life held in Toronto at the Aria Ballroom, Four Seasons Hotel (60 Yorkville Ave), on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 7pm.
