Rushnell Family Services

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lillian Hookey can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Laurel and Lorne Luker

When Lorne and I first moved to Trenton in 1984 we were so happy to find so many Luker family members. We had years and years of get together parties, BBQ's, and lazy afternoons playing cards, rumikub and train. For years Grace would drop in every noontime almost always holding her fast food lunch calling out from the front door "done the Avon---have you had lunch yet ?" Many many times when we had supper ready we would phone and say suppers ready -- got lots--come on over. She would answer okay give me 5 minutes. She ate way too much fast food so supper became a prelude to a few games of Mexican train. During our long sojourn in Trenton Grace and Anita became dearest friends and it was not long before they became my SISTERS. Way back I convinced Grace she needed to walk a bit,so she walked with me a few blocks every day and after a week or so we walked all the way downtown and then all the way back home. We were both having a hard time the last half of Sidney street . After that she went back to driving over and no more walking and I quit walking and rode my bicycle. We have missed her so much since we moved. We will miss her always. Sisters live in our hearts forever. LAUREL AND LORNE
